Modern innovative trends in education require the active use of Internet resources in the process of training in technical specialties. A comprehensive cloud service it is proposed to use when creating complex drawings, calculations, teamwork on projects. Autodesk CAD software provides an opportunity to re-organize student training in engineering graphics based on a single platform.
The article substantiates the need for changes in the organization of training in the course "Descriptive Geometry and Engineering Graphics" while preparing water transport specialists.
Algorithms for the formation of spatial models of geometric objects from different surfaces by extrusion and using logical operations: union, subtraction and intersection are considered. The possibilities of AutoCAD-17 of creating and organizing work with a joint drawing, the features of parametric design, the use of cloud technology to create, store and modify drawings are discussed.
