The article contains studies related to the determination of the main directions of development of ship's automated ship control systems. Based on the analysis of the literature, the distribution of ship systems to control levels, depending on their functional properties, is carried out. The state of the issue is also reviewed and the main directions of the development of power plants and ship automated control systems are analyzed. In this case, the ship control system is considered as a single information platform for ship control. This is due to the fact that today the modern development of ship control systems is being developed in accordance with E-navigation technology and uses specialized information systems. This makes it possible to increase the efficiency of the ship's operation through timely control of power units and devices, as well as changes in the operating conditions.
