Abstract

The paper actualizes the attention to the independent work of students during the study of the discipline "Ukrainian language (for professional purposes)". Emphasis is placed on the fact that this discipline is subject to certain skills for further study, among which are the following: the development of professional terminology, the use of technical literature, the ability to professional oral and written communication, etc. The result of this course is: the ability to correctly compile documents, freely use specialized information sources, including reference, use professional terminology in various situations of professional communication, give detailed answers to questions of discussion and final nature, edit and translate professional texts, use normative language structures, prepare informational messages.

It is noted that classroom hours are not enough to master the necessary relevant competencies and the amount of all necessary knowledge, so independent work is important. The priority topics of independent works of students of maritime free economic zones are determined. Emphasis is placed on the fact that the role of the teacher in the organization of independent work of students and their motivation is very large. The modern approach to the organization of the educational process in the Free Economic Zone is that this process is focused on the formation of students' skills to acquire new knowledge, use them in their professional activities. The direction on increase of a role and increase of independent work of students in its various forms is chosen.

Thus, the independent work of students has a number of advantages and disadvantages, which can be characterized in accordance with the opportunities and their absence in the process of direct VTS. Yes, as independent work provides an opportunity to study at any time, but this raises the question of access to educational materials. The solution to this problem can also be turned in a positive direction - access to educational materials through the material offered by the teacher in paper or electronic form, or using a computer and the Internet.
