The article deals with the problematic issues of creating power supply systems for an adjustable electric drive and other types of consumers used in water transport for various purposes. The ship's electrical power indicators are considered, which characterize the efficiency of the use and consumption of electrical energy, load and overload characteristics of the entire ship's power supply system. It is shown that in recent years, special attention has been paid to improving the quality of electricity consumed from the ship's network and ensuring the electromagnetic compatibility of devices. The analysis of the existing possibilities for increasing the energy factor of ship consumers was carried out. It is proposed, in order to increase the energy factor of the system and to increase the competitiveness of the final technical solution, using the example of an SRM-electric drive, to provide for a preset of various types and purposes of corrective devices, namely active power factor correctors (APFC).
To analyze the existing algorithms for the operation of active power factor correctors, as well as to calculate the circuit elements and check the operability of the designed device, simulations were carried out using MATLAB and its energy libraries.
