MODERN METHODS IN THE PROCESS OF TEACHING SEAMEN IN LANGUAGE DISCIPLINES

The notes that the use of modern methods, techniques and forms of teaching in the study of the Ukrainian language (for professional purposes) creates certain opportunities for students of maritime free economic science, namely: acquisition of skills and abilities for orientation in the fields of professional oral and written speech. language system, the specifics of the use of different language units depending on the scope and purpose of use, involvement in the development of language, speech, communicative norms of professional communication. However, emphasis is placed on the fact that the methodology of teaching each subject should be considered as a way of organizing the theoretical and practical activities of participants in the learning process, due to the laws and features of the content of the subject.
The study of the discipline "Ukrainian language (for professional purposes)" by students of maritime free economic education provides for the formation of the following abilities in students: critical thinking of basic methods, concepts, principles, theories in professional activities and training; awareness of the value of civil society and the need for its sustainable development, the rule of law, human rights and freedoms and the citizen of Ukraine; act on the basis of the legislative and regulatory framework of Ukraine and the requirements of relevant standards, including international ones in the field of information security; use the acquired knowledge while learning the state language in order to ensure the effectiveness of professional communication; use professional terminology; communicate on professional topics orally, compile maritime documentation (writing professional texts); use the results of independent search, analysis and synthesis, etc.
The main directions of development of teaching the discipline "Ukrainian language for professional purposes" are highlighted. The author's positions on methodical improvement taking into account modern teaching methods are investigated. Particular attention is paid to the modern development of methodological support for distance learning and the use of ICT technologies in the study of the Ukrainian language (for professional purposes).
