YOGA AS AN EFFECTIVE MEANS OF OVERCOMING PSYCHOPHYSICAL TRANSHIPMENTS OF FUTURE MARITIME TRANSPORT PROFESSIONALS

The paper focuses on the main components of psychological and physical difficulties of maritime transport specialists. They consist of fatigue, significant physical exertion, limited range of communication, psychological stress and create unfavorable conditions for effective performance and disclosure of their own professional skills of seafarers. In search of effective means of overcoming psychological and physical overload, the author proposes the inclusion of yoga classes in the course of physical training, justifies his choice and proves its effectiveness, reveals the method of implementation in the educational process. They strengthen health and give a charge of vitality, have a tonic effect on the body and restore muscle strength, improve the work of all organs and increase efficiency, strengthen and stabilize the nervous system. Yoga is actually a great way to train, which brings immediate and long-term benefits to the whole physical body - from increasing flexibility to stronger muscles and bones. By performing the appropriate asanas, it is possible to relieve tension and relax the tight muscles with ligaments. An equally important positive effect of regular yoga is the improvement of blood flow throughout the body. Factors that prevent yoga are excessive tension of the widest muscle of the back can greatly increase the curvature of the lumbar spine.
Prolonged sailing is associated with the constant presence of crew members in conditions of limited space, monotony of activities, significant physical activity, both in daily activities and with the processes of overload, troubleshooting, emergency repairs, etc., a sharp narrowing of external social ties, increased danger occurrence of emergencies, etc.
Therefore, the teacher, first of all, needs to convey to students the history of yoga and the benefits of mastering this technique to maintain physical shape and reduce psycho-emotional stress in future professional activities. If applicants for higher education are not interested, we suggest that the teacher conduct the following experiment.
