Abstract

Climate change in recent years is one of the main global problems. The policy of the leading countries of the world is shifting towards long-term problems of sustainable development and international security. Numerous international conferences under the auspices of the UN are devoted to the development of strategies for mitigating the anthropogenic impact on the environment and their implementation. The focus is on the regulation of hydrocarbon emissions. This process is accompanied by conflict situations between leading countries, countries with economies in transition, and developing countries.

The article is devoted to the study the main trends in the impact of climate change on the sustainable development of the countries of the world. Attention is paid to the reaction of leading states to possible threats to the competitiveness of national economies and to international mechanisms to combat climate change.
