Abstract

In the context of increasing demands for safety and efficiency of maritime transport operations, it becomes relevant to analyze the main challenges and threats faced by shipowners, operators and regulators. This article draws attention to the current problems of maritime transport safety, examines their trends, potential risks and possible regulatory strategies. Particular attention is given to problems related to navigation, technical condition of ships, crew training, as well as the impact of environmental factors on maritime transport safety. The article analyzes existing strategies and regulatory mechanisms aimed at ensuring the safety of maritime transport. Various approaches to risk management, including the use of new technologies, implementation of international standards and cooperation between countries are considered. The results of the study provide useful recommendations for shipowners, ship operators and regulators to improve maritime transport safety. The analysis of safety problems and proposed settlement strategies will help to develop effective measures to reduce risks and ensure the safety of maritime transport.
