FORMATION OF THE COMMUNICATIVE ENVIRONMENT «TEACHER – STUDENT» IN THE INSTITUTION OF HIGHER EDUCATION DURING DISTANCE EDUCATION

Abstract

The article defines the relevance and necessity of forming a communicative environment “teacher — student” of a higher education institution during distance learning in view of the current challenges faced by domestic education, such as quarantine restrictions and martial law.

The main aspects of the formation of a “teacher — student” communicative environment of a higher education institution in the conditions of distance learning, such as establishing effective communication between the main participants of the educational environment, encouraging students to actively participate in the educational process, solving problematic issues and providing feedback in case of misunderstanding of the initial material by students, development of social and communicative skills for integration and stimulation of interaction and communication between the teacher and students.

Educational platforms available to domestic institutions of higher education that provide the process of distance learning are given, namely: “Moodle”, “Blackboard”, “Canvas”, “Brightspace”, “Sakai”, “Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals”.

The functionality and integration into the educational environment of the educational platform “Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals”, which offers the following versions for educational institutions: basic (“Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals1) and three with extended functionality (“Google Workspace for Education Standard”, “Teaching and Learning Upgrade”, “Google Workspace for Education Plus”). The comparative characteristics of the given versions have been formed.

The state policy on the digitization of education is highlighted and the measures initiated by the state in collaboration with the “Google Ukraine” company to form an effective communicative environment of a higher education institution during distance learning are given. The levels of professional development for pedagogical, scientific and pedagogical workers of higher education institutions are considered, and the main advantages and features of “Google for Education” solutions for higher education and problematic issues that are solved within the framework of the “Google Digital Tools for Education”.
