Problems of intellectualization of construction processes and their modeling using BIM-ontologies are considered on the example in the field of construction of transport infrastructure objects. Some aspects, stages and principles of development of intelligent systems (information systems with elements of intellectualization) are analyzed. The main requirements for intellectualization of the processes of construction of transport infrastructure objects to solve wide range of theoretical and practical problems have been determined.
Ontological approach is based on understanding of ontology as universal form of knowledge presentation. Ontological modeling of construction processes of transport infrastructure objects and intellectualization of these processes contribute to solving wide range of problems of designing, building and operating these objects thanks to consideration of factors reflected in corresponding multi-level ontological model.
Main provisions and tools for building ontology of construction processes of transport infrastructure objects to determine meta-ontology of subject area under consideration are presented. The toolkit is ontology description language OWL and ontology editor Protégé.
Intellectualization of construction processes of transport infrastructure objects on the basis of BIM ontologies led to following: high geometric accuracy of constructions, obtained with help of BIM technologies, and possibility of data transfer to CAD systems increase the manufacturability of production, reduce installation time, make it possible to implement complex architectural forms that minimize time of project development or making changes to it; the need to develop standards that would secure the status of information model (including ontological); the need to develop own software to support BIM technology. The developed multi-level ontology contributes to terminological unification and accelerates search for information in knowledge base of corresponding intelligent system.
