THE TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC ADVANTAGES OF THE FREQUENCY-TRANSFORMATION MANAGEMENT OF SHIPBOARD TOWING WINCH

Abstract

The article analyzes the main advantages of the asynchronous frequency control drive as compared to the three-speed asynchronous drive of the ship towing winch.

The article also states that a towing winch controlled by a frequency converter has the following advantages: full provision of the limit and smoothness of speed control of the necessary towing winch; the ability to automatically control the device; reliability; ease of operation.
