They remain relevant and require a more in-depth study of the issue of upbringing the morale of future specialists in water transport during their training, including in higher education institutions.
The purpose of the paper is to reveal the particularities of the sailor's morality; familiarization with specialists who train water transport specialists with the possibilities of raising a high moral personality by means of English language.
The authors argue that the appropriate level of moral and social component of future specialists in water transport can and must be formed by means of a foreign language. This will improve the quality of their professional training, the formation of those specific professional-psychological skills, knowledge and qualities that will effectively ensure their psychological readiness for the extreme conditions of professional activity of the seaman.
