Abstract

The article discusses issues related to the use of a modern semiconductor frequency converter for regulating the speed of an asynchronous engine of the ship anchor device and identifies the main advantages of such an electric drive.

Analysis of the research results showed that when regulating the speed of rotation of the armature motor using a frequency converter, a wide range and smoothness of regulation is ensured.

In comparison with the contactor control system used on ships, the operational performance of modern frequency converters based on contactless semiconductors, as well as their reliability, is much higher.

Reducing the number of three-phase stator windings, leads to a decrease in mass and size parameters and the cost of a new manufactured electric motor approximately two times.
